Autocorrelator

      Single-crystal films of important organic materials such as NPP, COANP, ABP and APDA etc. are prepared for applications in autocorrelators for measurements of the durations of pico- and femtosecond pulses (patent issued). The measurement method is based on background-free detection of the second harmonic produced in the single-crystal films. The thickness of the film is less than the coherence length making it appropriate for this application.
