     Novel conductive polymers (nonconjugated) are prepared. Flexible alarm systems based on nonconjugated conductive polymer films are produced. Novel and highly sensitive mechanical sensors for force, pressure and acceleration measurements are fabricated. Portable easy-to-use anti-theft alarm systems are available.

      Single-crystal films of a wide range of organic nonlinear optical materials are prepared. Nonlinear optical devices such as electro-optic modulators based on molecular single-crystal films are fabricated.

     Tutorial equipment for electro-optic measurements to provide hands-on experiments to undergraduate and graduate students is available. this equipment involves electronic electro-optic effects in the solid state.

    Novel laser-like sources producing picosecond pulses are fabricated. Novel faster vulcanization processes for rubbers are provided. Rechargeable batteries based on nonconjugated conductive polymers are under development.
